WRT Update — Tuesday, June 9, 2026

🔑 Today’s Highlights

  • Added a dedicated WRT crafting station — craft WRT gear and items together under a dedicated category.
  • Starter gear box handed out to new players — helps newcomers survive the early game more easily.
  • Category icons now shown on WRT items (fixing a bug where some were previously blank).
  • Fixed a progression blocker in the job armor contract quest (rebuilt as a self-contained flow that no longer requires a trader).
  • Reworked farm plot creation into two stages — removing the free shortcut in favor of enriching the soil with compost.

✨ New Features & Changes

WRT Core Crafting Station (new)

  • Added a dedicated crafting station for making the gear and items introduced by WRT. Since they appear under a dedicated category, WRT items are now easier to find and craft.

Starter Gear for New Players

  • New players now receive a Quality 1 armor supply box as their first quest reward, helping them get off the ground in the early game.
  • Alongside this, we added random job-specific armor supply boxes and cleaned up their icons.

Item Category Icons

  • Each item added by WRT now has an icon that shows its category at a glance. This fixes a bug where some icons were displayed blank.

Job Armor Contract Quest Fix

  • Fixed a bug where the contract quest tied to job armor sets could become stuck partway through. It has been rebuilt into a self-contained flow that doesn’t rely on a trader: head to a designated location → survive waves of zombies. (We finished verifying it on the entry tier first, and will roll it out to all tiers in turn.)
  • The combat patterns, such as holing up and digging in, were also tuned to feel more satisfying.

Farming (Farmer) Adjustments

  • Reworked how farm plots are made. Previously, tilling the ground gave you a “fertile farm plot” for free, which undermined the point of crafting with compost. We’ve now changed it to two stages:
    • Till the ground → you first get a “WRT Barren Farmland” (free; the shovel required still depends on the terrain, as before — steel shovel for stone/snow).
    • Use a shovel + 3 compost on the “Barren Farmland” to turn it into a “WRT Fertile Farm Plot“.
    • You can’t plant seeds on “Barren Farmland” as-is (enrich it with compost before planting).
  • Distributed farming gear crafting across tiers — the recipes for tools and equipment have been assigned to Farmer tiers T2–T6 (potato = T4 / corn = T5 / super corn = T6). Compost is learned at T2.
  • Fixed a bug with the Blood Moon farming buff — where its icon wouldn’t show, or it wouldn’t disappear after the Blood Moon ended.

Chat Display Improvements

  • Organized and unified the colors of the various chat messages to improve readability.
  • Changed the color of the sender name on whispers from red to gold (to prevent confusion with other messages).

Screen & Guide Readability

  • Fixed the font size on the quest/challenge list and detail panels to improve readability.
  • Reorganized each guidebook category by separating it into a short overview (top) and a detailed explanation (bottom).

🧪 In Development (※ not yet live on the server, in testing)

The following are features being developed and tested locally, and are not yet reflected on the server.

Periodic Letter Event (Letter System Enhancement)

We’re significantly enhancing the “letters” we prototyped yesterday into a pure in-game event that requires no bot.

  • A letter event occurs at set intervals, with its contents decided by a weighted draw from 32 variations.
  • We added staged presentation: “news teaser → a short wait → notification in hand → delivery → results announcement“.
  • If left unread for about 5 minutes, it turns into plain paper.
  • It’s still at the prototype (PoC) stage, and the contents and probabilities are being tuned.

Salvage / Bundle Boxes (Recovering Decorative Items)

We’re continuing to develop a system for recovering decorative items from ruins as “boxes”.

  • We’ve expanded the bundle boxes by category to cover all categories (6 types).
  • It’s still experimental, and the contents and how to obtain them may change.

Primitive Survivor Mastery (Blood Moon Scavenging)

We’re continuing to create Blood Moon-exclusive endgame content.

  • We reorganized the Primitive Survivor challenges into two lines: Entry (job intro) and Mastery (Blood Moon horde), with 5 each for a total of 10.
  • An explanation of Mastery has been included in the guidebook.
  • It’s still in development and not yet reflected on the server.

Farmer Mastery (Endgame Content)

Just like Primitive Survivor, we’re preparing a Mastery element for the Farmer.

  • We’ve prepared two lines of challenges, “Farmer: Basic” and “Farmer Mastery“, along with dedicated medals and titles.
  • ※ Displaying the Mastery tab depends on the Primitive Survivor feature. It’s still in development, and the contents may change.
