🏹 The Bounty Hunter is a tracker job that earns by cornering its targets. No MOD required—you can play it on cross-play servers using chat commands. There are three types of prey, so whether or not other players are around, you’ll never run short of things to hunt.
Three Types of Prey
① Chase Down Bounties (Fugitives)
The location of a fleeing bounty is sent to you periodically via PM. Get within 25m and make contact to snatch the entire “unsecured provisional bounty” they’ve been building up. Don’t let them get away.
② Bust the Black Market
When someone in the underworld is making money on the black market, their location is sent to you. Make contact to bust and confiscate their earnings. Dragging shady profits out into the light is also the Bounty Hunter’s job.
③ Hunt NPC Bounties (Solo)
When there’s no one else around, use /contract to take on an NPC bounty hunting contract. Head to the designated hideout and a boss zombie will appear; defeat it within the time limit for a reward. The higher your tier, the tougher the prey you can take on (feral → radiated → dire wolf … → demolisher).
Tips for Playing the Job
- Bounties and the underworld depend on “other players.” When no one’s on, switch to solo with
/contract. - Raising your tier (check it with
/status) increases your reward multiplier and makes contract bosses tougher—and more lucrative. - If you come prepared with proper gear, boss hunts become a steady source of income.
