Thanks to V3.0’s new Item Magnitude system, the weapons, tools, and workstation MODs you find as loot can now come with boosted stats. Hunting for gear just got a whole lot more exciting.
How to Spot It: An Orange Star + a Teal %
- Boosted stats are highlighted with an orange star
- The value is shown as a teal (blue-green) %
- Examples: a pickaxe with high block damage, a shotgun with extended range, a machete with increased damage, a cooking pot with faster cooking time, and more — the combinations are endless
- Every tool and weapon has a chance to roll a boosted stat when picked up as loot
“Random Values” and “Boost Values” Are Different (Important)
As before, tools and weapons can come with random stats, and a teal % may be displayed. However, only stats shown in orange count as “boosted”. Going through a combine can also push the merged item into boost territory.
Traders Deal in Magnitude Gear Too
Traders now stock magnitude-boosted gear, such as weapons with special boosted stats, creating a high-end gear economy for advanced players. Now you have more to spend your money on.
New Weapon: The M60 Turret
We’ve added the M60 Turret as a new option for dealing with late-game hordes. It can use all 7.62mm ammo types.
For the system of “combining and growing” your boosted gear, see the separate article “Combine Station”; for degradation and repair settings on your gear, see “Customizing Repair and Degradation”.
