tehAon’s Glider – Jump Off Anything and Float Down

- First version: five gliders — Scrap Parachute (crafted from the backpack), Tarp Glider, Steel Frame Glider,
Recon Wings and the gas-thrust Thruster Wings — worn in a glider slot on the Accessories tab (Accessory
Slots, required). Better gliders unlock with Armor Crafting.
- Jump, then jump again in mid-air to open the glider; tuck it away and open it again as often as you like.
Diving with it tucked and opening it again turns your fall into a burst of forward speed. No stamina cost,
and you land soft if it is open.
- Quality moves glide speed and sink rate as well as durability and mod slots, and crafted quality climbs with
Armor Crafting up to quality 6 at 100.
- Vehicle-style steering: steer with the camera or with A/D (W dives, S flares), shared with the vehicles'
own setting; hold right mouse to look around without turning.
- Recon Wings and Thruster Wings are worn on your back and flown lying flat; under thrust you point along
your flight path.
- Five glider mods, each with quality (quality 6 gives the full bonus, quality 1 half of it): Swept Fins
(faster), Ripstop Canopy (sinks slower), Updraft Flaps (every mid-air open pops you up), Padded Harness
(no fall damage just after gliding) and Launch Canister (Crouch + Jump burns gas to launch straight up).
- Gliders and glider mods have a Stats tab in the item info window, like vanilla items.
- Gliders wear out while open and are repaired with repair kits.
- Other players see your glider and how you fly it.
- A worn glider follows the world's armor rules on death and on quit (Drop On Death, Drop On Quit, Lose Items
On Death, Degrade Items On Death), through Accessory Slots.
- Gliding counts as being in a vehicle, like riding a zipline: on horde night half the zombies sent after a
gliding player become vultures. Works alongside the Zipline mod.
- Joining a server that does not run Glider still works.
- `gl` console command for stats and live tuning.

- Credits: gliders were the idea of Liz — More2Me 4Life on YouTube. Thank you, Liz! Now credited in the
README, the licence and the mod's in-game description.

- Fixed: on the game's **3.3 experimental** build, every time a character loaded with Glider installed, the
game's save reader failed, fell back to the character's backup save (one save older), and loaded it without
the worn glider and accessories. 3.3 changed how the game reads an item, and Glider's reader for saves from
before Accessory Slots broke the game's own save reader with it. Glider now works on 3.3 (tested on b14) as well
as 3.0 through 3.2, with the same download. On 3.3 it needs Accessory Slots 0.4.1 or later.
- Moving a world from 3.2 to 3.3: update Glider and Accessory Slots **before** loading it on 3.3. A character
saved on 3.2 then loads on 3.3 with its glider and accessories (tested).
- Glider wear, quality and mods read correctly on 3.3; nothing changes on 3.0 - 3.2.
- The log now prints the right version number (it said 0.1.0 since 0.1.0).

- New: **your own glider key.** Set `GliderKey` (`G`, `Mouse4`, `Ctrl+G` — any Unity KeyCode name) and that key opens
the glider in mid-air and tucks it away; Crouch + it fires a Launch Canister. Jump keeps working unless you set
`OpenWithJump` to `false`, which leaves a mid-air jump as just a jump (for another mod's double jump, say). With
no key set, Jump always opens it, so the glider can never end up with no way to open. Every player sets their own:
the key lives in each player's game, so on a dedicated server everyone picks theirs.
- New: **tehAon Control Panel support — the easy way to change Glider's settings.** Glider now appears in the panel:
glider key, jump-to-open, steering turn rates and hide-arms on one screen, the key on the panel's KEYS page with
every other mod's (clashes shown), and a change applies at once, no restart.
- New: **`glkey`** console command for players without the panel: `glkey G` sets your glider key and saves it,
`glkey none` goes back to Jump, `glkey jump off` makes it key-only, `glkey` shows what is set. Works on any
server — it runs in your own game, not on the server.
- New: `GliderConfig.xml` ships with those settings, each explained. Changes go in `GliderConfig.local.xml` beside it
(the panel and `glkey` write it for you) — updates never touch that file.
- The log warns once at start if your glider key is already one of the game's own bindings.
- `gl reset` now goes back to what the config files say rather than to the built-in defaults, so it no longer throws
away your key. `gl` is for single player or a game you host: on a dedicated server it is admin-only and runs on
the server.
