On the 7DJP official servers, we’ve introduced a system where your “affiliation” across Discord, in-game, and the website is all linked together. Just by choosing a home base on Discord, it automatically reflects on your in-game appearance and your web badge. This article explains how to use it.
First, choose your “home base” on Discord
When you join the Discord server, you’ll go through onboarding (Channels & Roles) where you answer some questions. In the section “Please select your home base (can be changed at any time),” you pick one of eight bases.
The eight bases are divided into four factions.
| Faction | Base |
|---|---|
| 🔴 Red | Beginner HQ / Fellow Beginners |
| ⚪ White | Base Management Mentor / Resource Management Mentor |
| 🟢 Green | Exploration Mentor / Building Mentor |
| 🔵 Blue | Veteran Mentor / Veteran Solo |
You can change your home base at any time. If your play style changes, just pick a new one.
How it reflects in-game
Once you choose a home base, it reflects in-game in the following ways (this happens automatically a little while after you join the game).
- Chat name color … Your name takes on your faction’s color (red, green, white, or blue).
- HUD buff … An affiliation buff such as “Red Faction” appears on your screen.
This is purely a cosmetic display and has no effect on scores or territory. Feel free to pick whatever you like.
Matching mentors with beginners
This is a system that connects “I want someone to teach me” with “I want to guide a beginner.” Use the following commands in the in-game chat.
/new… I’m a beginner / I’d like some guidance/mentor… I can guide others (guide role)/new-off・/mentor-off… Cancel
The server’s guidance display (info ticker) shows which guides are currently online and which beginners are waiting for guidance. Once you spot each other, feel free to reach out and team up. Those who chose “Beginner (going it alone)” won’t appear in the guidance-waiting list, so you can progress at your own pace.
Profile and badges
Your home base and faction are also shown on your website badge.
- The user display on screen (while logged in, your affiliation is always shown)
- Comments (the home base of whoever commented is attached as a badge)
Since your affiliation stays consistent across Discord, in-game, and the web, you can tell at a glance “which base this person belongs to.”
List of handy commands
Type any of the following in the in-game chat to open a command list as a web view on your screen.
/help・/commands… Display the in-game command list/guide… Display the account linking guide/pf… Display your own profile/tag… A list of the recruitment tags currently showing
An overview of all commands is compiled in the in-game command list.
