Servers running 7DAYSTODIE.JP’s original MOD (WhiteRiver Territory) feature a rare creature called the Silver-Glinting Chicken. It’s a so-called “Metal Slime” type: defeating it grants a huge amount of experience and coins, but it’s a tough target to bring down because it flees extremely fast.
Characteristics
- It has very little health, but it barely takes any damage (damage is drastically reduced).
- Fire has no effect, so a strategy of burning it down won’t work.
- The moment you get close, it bolts away at high speed.
In other words, the basic approach is to “finish it off with one big hit before it can escape.”
Tips for Defeating It
- Corner it and cut off its escape routes (lure it against a wall or into a dead end).
- Before it gets away, land several heavy hits in a row, or aim for the big damage of a critical hit.
- Since fire is useless, take it on with high-power melee or ranged attacks.
Rewards
Defeating it grants a huge amount of experience along with coins scaled to its strength. The coins follow a tier system from T1 = Common up to T6 = Hero, with higher tiers paying out more.
Spawn Conditions
You can track it with the Animal Tracker perk, and it appears rarely mixed in among the forest’s wild animals. When you spot one, use your firepower and the terrain to take it down in one go before it can escape.
