Bdub’s Vehicles (author: bdubyah) is one of the most famous vehicle MODs for 7 Days to Die, adding a huge number of custom vehicles. In addition to original vehicle designs, it also bundles remade versions of the vanilla vehicles, making travel and hauling a lot more fun and convenient all at once.
This page is a template for setup notes. I’ll grow it over time by gradually adding my own impressions from actually using it.
What kind of MOD is it?
- Adds many of the author’s own custom vehicles (varied in both looks and handling)
- Also bundles remade versions of the vanilla vehicles (bicycle, motorcycle, 4×4, gyrocopter, etc.)
- Offers vehicles that make hauling and multiplayer travel comfortable, with plenty of storage and passenger seats
- A long-maintained staple with plenty of tutorial videos available
Supported versions & installation
- Download the latest version from the original Nexus page
- Place it in the
Mods/folder - ⚠ It must be installed on both the server and the client (it won’t work correctly with only one of them). In multiplayer, every participant must have the same version installed
- ※ Always check the Nexus page for the supported versions
Compatibility & things to watch out for
- It can conflict with other vehicle-adding MODs over vehicle IDs or vehicle slots, so it’s safest to keep your lineup of vehicle MODs limited
- Vehicle handling and textures can change with version updates, so after a base-game update it’s safest to wait for a compatible version
Highlights & impressions
- (I’ll add notes here as I actually use it—favorite vehicles, models handy for base operations, well-matched setups, and so on)
