Undead Legacy (UL) is a large-scale overhaul that, among all 7 Days to Die mods, pushes the depth of crafting and maintenance to its limits. Rather than flashy combat, it resonates with players who enjoy the steady rhythm of building, repairing, and fine-tuning.
This page is a template for introduction notes. We’ll grow it over time by gradually adding impressions from actually playing.
What Kind of Mod Is It?

Supported Versions & Where to Get It (Important)
- UL is primarily distributed from the official site ul.subquake.com (the older Nexus page may currently show an “unavailable” notice).
- The most recent stable release is in the A20 / UL 2.6.17 line, and a new version (2.7, etc.) is said to be in development.
- Because this site’s official servers run V3.0, we have not installed it on our official servers at this time. If you want to install it, match your game to a supported version.

How to Install (Overview)
- Download the supported version from the official site ul.subquake.com (using the official launcher is easiest)
- Match your game version to the supported version
- For multiplayer, install the same version on both the server and the clients
Compatibility & Cautions
- Because it is a large-scale overhaul, it cannot be combined with other major mods (it assumes standalone operation)
- Since the systems change significantly, we recommend starting with a new world and a new character
- The feel is close to a different game from vanilla. It’s best suited to playing slowly while reading the explanations
