What kind of MOD is this?
CPPS – Custom Perks Prestige Skills (author: Zuzulol) appears to be an expansion MOD that, rather than modifying the vanilla attributes (perks), adds an entirely new tab called “prestige.” It provides 67 new perks here, each of which can be raised up to a maximum of 5 ranks.
According to the author’s description, these are designed as a “late game sink” for skill points in the later stages of the game. In vanilla, once you reach the endgame you tend to finish off all the perks and end up with leftover points, and the aim seems to be to let you funnel that surplus into additional effects.

- 67 perks, each up to 5 ranks, consolidated into an independent tab. Since it doesn’t rewrite the existing attributes, it gives a tidy impression.
- It’s reportedly built with tuning aimed at high difficulty in mind. Conversely, because the effects stack up, the author himself seems to acknowledge that depending on your settings it could potentially make the game too easy.
- It appears the old approach where “effects plateau the higher the rank” has been dropped, changed to a system where the cost varies according to the perk, level, and effect.
- Many of the weapon perks seem to have been re-tuned and nerfed, and several new perks appear to have been added as well. The details are said to be in the included changelog.txt.
- The rank cap was kept at 5 apparently to improve compatibility with other MODs (especially UI overhaul/replacement types).
- In addition to German and English, localization is said to also support a Japanese translation (provided by Geniti).
Installation tips
As with typical perk-adding MODs, you’ll likely place the MOD folder from within the downloaded Mods folder into the game’s Mods directory. Since the design adds a tab to the UI, if you use it alongside other UI overhaul MODs, be careful about load order and conflicts, and it’s safest to first verify it works with vanilla plus this MOD alone. Considering the impact on your save, we also recommend backing up before installing.
